The Superior Shooting Systems Tubb Seating Die is a bullet-seating die with a micrometer fine-adjustment and a removable seating stem sized for heavy bullets. It lets you set seating depth precisely using the numbered micrometer ring while coarse position is set with the wing nut and screw.
- Seating stem options: use the stem with the larger internal diameter when seating 250‑grain bullets or heavier.
- Coarse vs fine adjustment: the wing nut and screw provide coarse positioning and are typically backed out fully; the numbered micrometer ring is used for precise seating-depth changes.
- Setup guidance based on die mechanics: insert an empty case, run the ram to full travel, screw the die in until it seats then back out 2–3 turns (more if proximity issues occur) before trying a bullet; adjust seating depth with the micrometer.
- Bullet diameter effect: larger-diameter bullets (for example 37XC or 41XC vs 33XC) require moving the seating-die threads farther out; this does not reduce the die’s accuracy.
