Kahles HELIA 42 RF 10x42

The HELIA 42 RF puts a laser rangefinder inside a Kahles 42 mm hunting binocular, so you glass, range and judge with one instrument. Standard ranging covers 5 to 1,200 m on game and up to 3,600 m on reflective targets in long-range mode, with the reading on a red OLED display that has five brightness levels for dusk and bright snow alike. Kahles' patented EAC (Enhanced Angle Compensation) gives you the equivalent horizontal distance on steep shots, and scan mode ranges continuously as you track a moving animal.

The 10x42 is for open country and judging animals at range: 107 m field of view at 1,000 m, 4.2 mm exit pupil and 16 mm eye relief, at the same 900 g. Choose the 8x42 for a wider, steadier view in timber, the 10x42 for goats, deer and pigs across gullies. No licence is required to buy a rangefinder or binoculars.
