Kahles HELIA 42 RF 8x42

The HELIA 42 RF puts a laser rangefinder inside a Kahles 42 mm hunting binocular, so you glass, range and judge with one instrument. Standard ranging covers 5 to 1,200 m on game and up to 3,600 m on reflective targets in long-range mode, with the reading on a red OLED display that has five brightness levels for dusk and bright snow alike. Kahles' patented EAC (Enhanced Angle Compensation) gives you the equivalent horizontal distance on steep shots, and scan mode ranges continuously as you track a moving animal.

The 8x42 is the steadier, brighter choice for hand-held glassing: a 122 m field of view at 1,000 m, 5.3 mm exit pupil and 18 mm eye relief suit scrub and forest hunting and low light. At 900 g it carries like a standard 42 mm binocular. No licence is required to buy a rangefinder or binoculars.
